Just a quick not to inform one and all that I have set up two new
discussion groups at yahoo, a javaos2 group

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/javaos2

for users and developers of java under OS/2, i set this group up some
time ago, but since my old computer was dying I left announcing it until
now

Secondly I have set up a group to help users of Visual Age 3.*,
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cplusplus2/ In particular I was hoping to
get some discussion concerning the free stl libraries to install, as
well as a forum for other issues

At present their is one link on the site but I was hopping to upload
some make files later

Regards

I remember this group from awhile ago. It was never really
active. Hopefully it will be more active with this annoucnement.
Perhaps you could announce it with/in
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/os2conect .

Is this for OS/2 or is it a general cross-platform C++
discussion group?

My idea was at least to start was to try and get the stl libraries
working under OS/2 VA 3.0*, other platforms seem better supported, but I
see no reasons why general cpp questions cannot be addressed here as well

#445 OSFree dsk files and loaddsk.exe?
Expand Messages

I copied the loaddsk.exe file from the WarpUp
cd-rom. I also copied the makedsk.cmd file. I
updated it to install fixpak26 onto diskettes
so I could install it onto my notebook computer.
I will copy it and update again to install the
OSFree files (from http://www.os2site.com ) to
install the dsk files onto diskettes. Is there
a way to install OSFree onto a computer using
these diskettes? Is there an install program?

TomLeeM

I have two hard drives for my notebook computer.
I want to use the smaller one to try OSFree.

I have downloaded the files from http://www.freeos.org .
I have yet to try them but I will. I have Open Watcom
on my computer.

If you want to use MED for coding, of course. For other tasks I don't see any reason -
there are makefiles i the project already, so use them.
