Could this be useful to OSFree?

At the OS/2 World forum, they said it was more ODIN than SDD (as in which
it was more related to). The files are not available (yet). It is not open source
but they did not indicate how much it would cost. There was a reference to
costing about the same as a game.

I can only partially read Slovak with my knowlege of Polish, and from
what I get from it I don't really think it will be useful since it is an OS/2
clone project. It'd probably nice to include on the CD, though.

Fortunately some one did some translating and posted it at
the forum at http://www.os2world.com .

I misunderstood what WAPE was but now I know it is a way to
use Win programs with OS/2-eCS and possibly OSFree.

Maybe it might be good to start making a proposed package list with
suggestions of what apps to include with osFree's ISO and in FTP mirrors
in some sort of forum sticky, like WAPE...

That is a good idea.

That is a good idea.
But don't forget osFree will consist at least 3 subsystems (personalities). It is:
  1. Neutral personality. Native L4 executibles.
  2. OS/2 personality
  3. Linux personality (L4Linux)

One Appealling to Three?

OSFree appealing to three?; OS/2 users, Linux users and L4 users.
It would gain more than just OS/2 users which means a broader
user base.

Thank you for the explanation.

Is there a personality for Win programs? It would broaden
the appeal even more.

Considering we would have L4 Linux in it, we can run Wine on osFree,
which is probably the most active project for allowing the running Windows
applications on another operating system. If L4 is up to date enough, WAPE
would not be needid.
