Multiple-Line Entry Field Styles

OS/2 Windows Explanation
MLS_BORDER WS_BORDER Creates a single line border around the multi-line entry field.
MLS_DISABLEUNDO   Prevents the undo buffers from being allocated within the multiple-line entry field.
MLS_HSCROLL WS_HSCROLL Adds a horizontal scroll bar to the bottom of the multiple-line entry field, allowing the user to scroll horizontally.
MLS_IGNORETAB - Prevents the user from using the TAB key in the multiple-line entry field.
MLS_LIMITVSCROLL   Limits vertical scroll. (OS/2 Version 3.x and above)
MLS_READONLY - Prevents the user from entering or editing text in the multiple-line entry field.
MLS_VSCROLL WS_VSCROLL Adds a vertical scroll bar to the right side of the multiple-line entry field, allowing the user to scroll vertically.
MLS_WORDWRAP - Automatically moves complete words that do not fit at the end of a line to the beginning of the next line during text entry.
- ES_CENTER Centers the text in the multi-line entry field.
- ES_LEFT Left justifies the text in the entry field. The text scrolls to the right as the user enters new text.
ES_READONLY - Keeps the entry field from accepting input or editing of the text displayed in it.
ES_RIGHT ES_RIGHT Right justifies the text in the entry field. The text scrolls to the left as the user enters new text. In Windows, this style is valid only for multi-line entry fields.
ES_SBCS - Allows the entry field to accept only single-byte characters.
- ES_PASSWORD Causes the entry field to display asterisks when the user types. This option is useful for entry fields used for passwords and such.
- ES_AUTOHSCROLL Allows text entered in the entry field to scroll horizontally, allowing the insertion point to remain visible.
- ES_AUTOVSCROLL Causes the text in a multi-line entry field to scroll up one page when the user presses the Enter key and the cursor is on the last line of the multi-line entry field.
- ES_LOWERCASE Causes the multi-line entry field to convert text entered to lower case.
- ES_MULTILINE Creates a multi-line entry field. The OS/2 Presentation Manager has a class and set of styles specifically for the multi-line entry field.
- ES_NOHIDESEL Prevents the text in the entry field from becoming unhighlighted when focus is moved from the multi-line entry field.
- ES_OEMCONVERT Converts the text entered in the multi-line entry field of the combo from the ANSI character set to the OEM character set and then back to the ANSI character set.
- ES_UPPERCASE Converts text entered in the multi-line entry field to upper case.
- ES_WANTRETURN Specifies that a carriage return be inserted when the user presses the ENTER key while entering text into a multiline edit control in a dialogue box. If no specified, pressing the ENTER key has the same effect as pressing the dialogue box’s default push button. This style has no effect on a single-line edit control.
