Use /DLL to identify the output file as a dynamic link library (.dll file). At least one object file should be compiled with /Ge-.
If you specify /DLL with /EXEC,
only the last of the specified options takes effect. If you do not specify /DLL, then by
default the linker produces an executable file (/EXEC).
If you specify /DLL with /EXEC,
/PDD or /VDD, only the last of the specified options takes effect. If you do not specify
/DLL, /VDD, or /PDD then by default the linker produces an .exe file (/EXEC).
