Integrated Resource Editor Introduction

Welcome to the IRE Version 1.1, an application used to create application windows, menus and dialogs. Formerly, one had to use a text editor along with a dialog box editor to create such an application, but the Integrated Resource Editor (IRE) provides everything you will need in one application.

The IRE gives you the option of storing the windows and dialogs in script format (.RC) or in binary format (.RES) and internal format (.Irf).

Note:

ID Symbol Drop-Down List
The ID Symbol drop-down list, which shows up when you select a style on the IRE, is used to define and/or select an ID symbol. The list also employs different colors to display the various symbols. The colors denote predefined symbols, new symbols added to the design, symbols used within the design and symbols not used within the design.

You can begin working on the Integrated Resource Editor. See Startup Window.
