Font & Color
The Font & Color dialog allows you to set
the colors and fonts for selected areas within a dialog, window,
control or menu. The notebook may contain the following tabs: Dialogs
and Menus.
- Dialogs:
- The Font & Color dialog allows you to
set the colors and fonts for selected areas within a
dialog or window. You can select one of the following
areas to edit:

- Foreground changes the default
foreground color
- Background changes the default
background color
- Highlight Foreground changes the
default highlight foreground color
- Highlight Background changes the
default highlight background color
- Disabled Foreground changes the
default disabled foreground color
- Disabled Background changes the
default disabled background color
- Border changes the default border
color
- Active color changes the active
color within the control. Note: For OS/2 2.0 and
OS/2 2.1 controls only.
- Inactive color changes the inactive
color within the control. Note: For OS/2 2.0 and
OS/2 2.1 controls only.
- Active text foreground changes the
active color within the control. Note: For OS/2
2.0 and OS/2 2.1 controls only.
- Inactive text foreground changes
the inactive text foreground color within the control.
Note: For OS/2 2.0 and OS/2 2.1 controls only.
- Active text background changes the
active background color within the control. Note: For
OS/2 2.0 and OS/2 2 .1 controls only.
- Inactive text background changes
the inactive text background color within the control. Note:
For OS/2 2.0 and OS/2 2.1 controls only.
- Shadow changes the shadow color
within the control. Note: For OS/2 2.0 and OS/2
2.1 controls only.
- Shadow text changes the shadow text
color within the control. Note: For OS/2 Warp and
OS/2 Warp Connect (PowerPC Edition) controls only.
- Shadow highlight foreground changes
the shadow highlight foreground color within the control.
Note: For OS/2 Warp and OS/2 Warp Connect (PowerPC
Edition) controls only.
- Shadow highlight background changes
the shadow highlight background color within the control.
Note: For OS/2 Warp and OS/2 Warp Connect (PowerPC
Edition) controls only.
- Icon background changes the icon
background color within the control. Note: For
OS/2 Warp and OS/2 Warp Connect (PowerPC Edition)
controls only.
A set check box uses the defined color whereas
a clear check box uses the default characteristics. The current
color selected is displayed beside each check box item.
- Menus:
- You can select the area you wish to change
by selecting one of the following check boxes:

- Foreground changes the default
foreground color within the menu item
- Background changes the default
background color within the menu item
- Highlight Foreground changes the
default highlight foreground color within the menu item
- Highlight Background changes the
default highlight background color within the menu item
- Disabled Foreground changes the
default disabled foreground color within the menu item
- Disabled Background changes the
default disabled background color within the menu item
A set check box uses the defined color whereas
a clear check box uses the default characteristics. The current
color selected is displayed beside each check box item.
- Index Colors Tab
- The Index colors tab contains a 3 x 6 grid
displaying the available colors from which you can
select. The proper name of the color is displayed under
this grid.

- RGB Colors Tab
- The RGB colors tab contains an RGB color
selector. You can select the color from the RGB color
circle or you can enter the RGB values in the spin-button
areas. When you enter a value within one of the spin
fields, the cross hair of the color circle moves to the
corresponding location of the RGB color. Conversely, when
you move the cross hair of the color circle to the
desired color, the spin fields will be updated to the
value of the RGB color selected.

You can also select the font from the Fonts
list box and the font size from the Size list
box. When you select a font or font size, an example of the
selected font and size will be displayed below the list boxes.

There are Cancel, Clear, Enter and Set
buttons along the bottom of the dialog box.
