The directory specified by this variable holds temporary files, such as those created using the tmpfile function.
The TMP variable must be set before you install IBM C and C++ Compilers and must specify only one writable directory. The TMP environment variable may be set by any program and, if it is changed to a different directory, IBM C and C++ Compilers puts temporary files in the current TMP directory.
