| Syntax: | Default: |
| /qarch=option | /qarch=486 |
Use /qarch to specify the architecture on which the executable program will be run. The object produced contains instructions appropriate for the architecture.
option can be one of the following:
| x86 | Any 32-bit x86 architecture |
| 486 | Any architecture supporting the 486 instruction set |
| pentium | Any architecture supporting the Pentium instruction set |
| pentium2 | Any architecture supporting the PentiumII or PentiumPro instruction set. |
Performance Consideration
For code that makes heavy use of floating-point types,
specifying PentiumII or PentiumPro architectures can increase
execution performance.
