Slider Styles
Styles Tab
- The Slider Styles dialog allows you to
enter the options, styles, orientation, placement, offset
ID and value of the slider. There are Cancel and Enter buttons along the bottom of the dialog box.
Orientation:
- Horizontal positions the
slider horizontally so that the slider arm can move left
and right on the slider shaft. A scale can be placed on
top of the slider shaft, below the slider shaft , or in
both places. This is the default orientation of the
slider.
- Vertical positions the
slider vertically so that the slider arm can move up and
down the slider shaft. A scale can be placed on the left
side of the slider shaft, on the right side of the slider
shaft, or in both places.
Shaft offset:
- Bottom or Top
(for Vertical sliders only)
- Left or Right
(for Horizontal sliders only)
- Centered
Button placement:
- Bottom or Top
(for Vertical sliders only)
- Left or Right
(for Horizontal sliders only)
Home position:
- Bottom or top
(for Vertical sliders only)
- Left or Right
(for Horizontal sliders only)
General options:
- Snap to increment positions
the slider arm on the nearest value when it is moved to a
position between two specified values on the slider
scale, such as between two tick marks. It will also
redraw the slider arm at that position.
- Owner draw notifies the
application whenever the slider shaft, the ribbon strip,
the slider arm, and the slider background are drawn
- Read only prevents the
user from interacting with the slider
- Ribbon strip colors the
slider shaft between the home position and the slider arm
with a color that is different than the shaft color
Primary scale:
- Scale 1 causes the slider
to use the increment and spacing specified for scale 1 as
the incremental value for the positioning of the slider
arm. Scale 1 is displayed above the slider shaft of a
horizontal slider and to the right of the slider shaft of
a vertical slider. This is the default for a slider.
- Scale 2 causes the slider
to use the increment and spacing specified for scale 2 as
the incremental value for the positioning of the slider
arm. Scale 2 is displayed below the slider shaft of a
horizontal slider and to the left of the slider shaft of
a vertical slider.
