Rebuild IBM C and C++ Compilers

If you erase or change the IBM C and C++ Compilers desktop folders or the IBM C and C++ Compilers product, you can rebuild them by running the installation program. Before you rebuild, make sure that you have rebooted your computer since IBM C and C++ Compilers was initially installed.

OS/2

  1. Open an OS/2 Command Windows
  2. CD to the X:\IBMCXXO\Uninstal directory.
  3. Run CPPDESK.CMD

Note that on OS/2, the entire set of folders and icons will be created, even for components which were not originally installed. You may want to remove those icons which were added for those applications which you did not originally install.

Windows

To rebuild the IBM C and C++ Compilers program group, follow these steps:

  1. Open an MS-DOS Command Prompt.
  2. CD to the X:\IBMCXXW\UnInstal directory, where X:\IBMCXXW is your installation directory.
  3. Run SETUP.EXE
  4. Choose the Restore folders and Icons option.
