No one needs to port L4. We just need to load L4 using IFS-like system.BigWarpGuy wrote: Is there any progress on porting the L4 kernel?

Would it be similar to eCS? eCS uses the OS/2 kernel. OSFree uses the L4 kernel?

L4 would be used. I hope Sascha can solve his problem. I dent me the code but it was out
of my league specially on the assembler front. Besides I got involved on porting Eclipse to
OS/2 and I have been busy on it.
I believe L4 is a very good choice since is being worked on and represent a second generation
of microkernels that came to solve the latency problems of the old ones.

Nope, is more similar to OS/2 PPC. Only this time instead of using Mach 3.0 microkernel,BigWarpGuy wrote: Would it be similar to eCS? eCS uses the OS/2 kernel. OSFree uses the L4 kernel?
